discharge after menapause

61 year old female white discharge times 4 months fairly consistent.  Had ultra sound--found poly otherwise normal
endometriall biopsy negative, removal of polp with D and C negative with hysteroscopy.
4 weeks post D&Cstill same discharge.  Physician highly questions possibility of Cancer.  Also negative C125,Pap and Chest X-ray..  Frequent urination with some infrequent pelvic discomfort.
What are other possible causes of present discharge?

Infection could be one, vaginal or uterine.  With all of the testing that you've been through, I'd rather doubt that it's cancer but, I'm not a doctor of course.    

Any itching, burning or other symptoms that come along with the discharge?  Are you using any vaginal lubricants for atrophic vaginal tissues?  

Perhaps, a second opinion might be warranted here?  If one doc doesn't know...even after all of these testings, it might be worthy of another opinion and another brain thinking on the possible cause.  :)

By the way, how was it having the endometrial biopsy?  I'm due to have one done soon and would like to know how "bad" it was.  :)

Biopsy was easy..  Just a a few minutes of cramping.

Thank you fredddy for answering that question for me.  It puts me a little more at ease.  

I'm hoping that perhaps, someone else has had the same type of thing that you're having and will offer up their experience with you.

just had a brownish discharge im 45 and was told im post meno
havent had a period in almost 3yrs..

whats that about....??? wasnt alot but enough to cause concern .

I had this discharge and I had  all the same tests because of post menopausal bleeding.  At no time did they adress the discharge.  I finaly asked for a culture and it ended up I had a bacterial infection.  Cleared up in 5 days!
