I had a hysterectomy four years ago, had sex 3 times, had this discharge with odor especially in the morning when I get up,have had sense of pressure , urine is cloudy, partner complained of hurting after sex.I have had this issue for 5 months now had no sex since then,My BMs are not normal,They take awhile too move in my intestines, then out.I drink plenty of water still doesnt help.At the time of my hysterectomy I had my bladder pinned up.

The discharge smells like old blood in the morning then after shower it smells like fish, gosh what is this, I can't afford too go to the doctors due too I'm taking care of my mother that has Alzhiemiers, had too quite my job too take care of her.If you could assist me on how too cure the discharge it would be most appreciated.

A. It sounds like two things might be going on: one is your vaginal discharge and odor and two is the pressure feeling and cloudy urine. The fishy odor is most commonly due to a vaginal infection called bacterial vaginosis or BV. It is caused by an overgrowth of some of the normal bacteria that live in the vagina.  It can be improved or cured by using an over the counter product called Rephresh. It contains an individual applicator which is inserted into the vagina daily for one week and then twice weekly after that. The only problem is that since your partner complains of hurting after sex it is possible that you have another type of discharge or have more than one infection. That would require a doctor to see it or having a culture of the vaginal discharge done at a clinic or doctor’s office. Try the Rephresh for a week or two but if it doesn’t go away or comes back, it is best to see a doctor. While you are there, they could check your urine to be sure there isn’t a bladder infection.
