estratest

Hello,I was on menest for almost a month .03 mg my dr checked my blood hormones levels and wants me to try estratest for a month along with vagifem//i had been feeling good on the menest other than getting a uti,which i started bactrim 2 days ago and my anxiety is out of this worlld and im tired but cant  sleep...would this be from switching estrogens> I was only on menest for 1 month and had not been on any estrogens for 8 years....i suffer sever anxiety and depression and on the menest i was doing so well but no sex drive,dr said she may habe to do compounding estrogens for me.Im 50 years old had total hysterectomy in 95 and need advice i think my estrogen level was -36 and testoreone was 54 but not for sure ..maybe i just have to get used to the estrotest,this morning my heart rate was 119...i do have severe anxiety and ahve been on xanax 20 years,but after 3 years of feeling awful and i felt good on the menest i dont know wahts going on

dr changed me to estaradiol and a progeestrone pill..wil these help me have energy and a sex drivre i dont know why shr she dont give me compounding drugs..i need energy and sex life and happiness a LIFE

Natural hormones made by a compounding pharmacist are the best way to go, those synthetic ones will only mess up your system more, there really is no benefit to them at all.

As to the UTI and the anti-biotic you are one, you could be having a reaction to the drug, anxiety and fast heart rate are a classic example of a reaction from these types of drugs, I would certainly ask for a different one.

Having your hormones all upset will cause all the anxiety, rapid heart rate and other emotional illnesses as well. I can not stress enough that it is best you only use a good, progesterone cream and not the estrogen, it sounds like you are estrogen dominant and that could be the root of your problems, that, and the possible allergy to the anti-biotic you are taking.
