frequent periods and increased synthroid med

Since the doctor increased my synthroid med( one day 50, the next day 75, the next 50....and so on) I have had my period( the full 7+days) every two weeks. Do I call the thyroid Dr's or OBGYN? Please help..I'm very tired and weak during these periods.

Since the problem started with your change in thyroid medication, talk with the doctor who prescribed that medication for you. Changes in thyroid medication can take a few months to equilibrate in your body. Also, changes in estrogen cause changes in thyroid levels, so when one changes it can have an effect on the other. If things are not corrected in a few months after the thyroid dose was changed, it might then be time to speak with your gynecologist.
