The period of pre-menopause which leads up to menopause can be variable from person to person. It depends on the hormonal status, body weight and family history.

For each woman perimenapause is different... it can be a few years to even 5-10 years. If you are able to speak with your health care provider, then they can give you information on what to expect pre-menapause, menapause, and post-menapause. Not all women experience the same changes that occur as our bodies goes through it's seasons.
