fsh level of 93?

43 yrs old, no menstrual cycle after stopping bcp for 60 days now...was on continuous bcp for 2-3 years, intermittent hot flashes every few days constant cramping in ovary area and joints knee/elbow are stiff/painful.  OBGYN says "baby making days are over".  Could it be something else?  Diagnosed with lupus a few years ago as well as cysts on the ovaries (bcp and glucophage has helped with this) and insulin resistance.  Started to gain weight in the last 30 days with no change in diet/exercise.  Currently on glucophage (2000mg/day).  FSH test done one week ago with a result of 93. Thyroid tests were normal, no estradiol test done.  Any suggestions to find out why or what is causing this?  Would like to have another child.

FSH of 93 means you may be in menopause or perimenopause.
Normal FSH is 5-10.
You should see an RE ( reproductive endocronologist ) for more tests.
