Am having the tests done b/c I have had 1 normalNormal saline flush period in 7 months after surgery 11/07 to remove a cyst and ovary. I have an ovary remaining. I've had to take 400 mg Progesterone 2 times to start a period and at one time had to use the Progesterone cream to stop spottingVaginal bleeding between periods (after 6 weeks). Up until the cyst was found last Sept. I was so regularRegular insulin, even to the day, starting every 28 days. I am 47, soon to be 48. I've had 2 blood tests for hormone levels and each time they've shown me to be in the normalNormal saline flush ranges. Not sure why or how, given all the problems.
Hi! I've never even heard of saliva testing for hormone levels! I've tried blood tests 3 times since my hysterectomy in 2007 and I think if I hear the words "within normal range" again I will strangle whomever said them. I know what normal feels like and this is so far from it it's not even funny! My dr. left one ovary but I think it's gone caput. I'm so tired of being looked at as a hypochondriac because I want to know when I'm going to feel like me again. I am not this tired, irritable old lady I feel like! Will you tell me how you found out about saliva testing and whether or not it is a test I can request from my doctor, etc?
Thanks,
Susan
