hot flushes driving me mad!

hot flushes driving me mad!

Hi, I am 49 years of age & was told a few years ago that I was in perimenopause. I have had hot flushes for as long as I can remember, but not as extreme as the last few weeks.I am getting approx one per 45 mins to an hour over & over. Also as soon as I wake up & that is all through the night, I get them. Is this normal or should I be worried? your help would be wonderfull & I am very greatfull

Hello gran1959.

I will be 45 in a couple of months.  I also have had hot flashes, accompanied with sweating at night for years and sometimes during the day.  My mother's perimenopause phase ended naturally and she entered into the menopause phase at the young age of 42.  Everyone is a little different in the timing of this process.

I really believe this is a normal phase we are going through.  I do not feel this is anything for you to worry over.

I am here to share anytime you would like to talk.  I do understand and it does seem to help reduce some of our concerns when we are feeling alone in it.  But remember that you are not alone.

Blessings and enjoy a worry free day.
