Tons of things can stop a period. So while menopause is theoretically possible, many other things need to be ruled out first. Have you gained or lost any significant weight? Do you have a medical history of Thyroid problems in either personal or family? Is it possible you have PCOS? Have you been eating differently; could you be missing a significant vitamin? Is there any slightest possibility that you're pregnant? -These are only the first few things that come to mind that could stop a period.

I suggest you talk to a gyn and get checked out. They will help figure out what may be causing the absence of your period, and should be able to easily rule out menopause. Ask to get tested for Free t3 and T4 as well as a standard TSH test for your thyroid- because the free T3 and t4 are typically more reliable than a TSH test for showing what your thyroid is doing. You might also want to ask about PCOS, especially if you have any history of ovarian cysts or weight problems.

Good luck.

Are you under weight?  Sometimes women whose body fat drops below a certain level lose their periods.
