menopause/depo shot

Hi, I am 46, how will I know when I am in menopause? I have been on the depo shot for a long time,I have not had a period in 15 yrs.Recently I have had hot flashes, and night sweats, and a little depression.So I go off the depo, I sure as heck dont want to get pregnant.What test exactly should I ask to have.Do the home test work? Thanks.

Your doctor can do a blood test that will tell you, but it sounds like you are starting down that path. If you don't want a menepause baby, I would suggest you check with your doctor.
