I don't know if I am menopausal or not. I am 46 years old. I just got off of the effexor anti depressant and have a little soreness in my breast all of a sudden. Do you think my period will start? I went to the Dr last year and they said everything was normal (hormones).
Usually not having a period for 1 year means menopausal and you say you didn't have a period for 2 years, so you're post menopausal (past menopause). I had a total hysterectomy 2/08, so I am post menopausal and I still do get soreness in my breasts. If you DO start your period again after not having it for 2 years I'd make an appointment to see your GYN as soon as possible. And if you are concerned about the sore breast I'd see about getting a mammo ASAP.
