I'm 49 and have not had my period for 1year. In August I spotted slightly for 2 days and in Sept the same thing. This month I'm spotting again but it has been 10 days now, just very little, it has since stopped. 4 years ago this happened to me while I had my period and I was spotting in between. I had a D&C with the scope and the Doctor said I had a cyst and fibroid and my uterus was large but that was it. What could be causing this spotting again, I'm not on any medication.

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to say what is causing your spotting with the information given. It is best to see your doctor, check your blood tests and possible get an ultrasound and/or uterine biopsy and exam to see if there are any cysts, polyps, or other problems. Most of the time nothing bad is going on, but it isn't possible to say without more information.
