rash

I have recently had quite a few hot flashes at night and now have a rash over chest and back that looks like measles. Is this caused from my body overheating and causing heat rash or should I go in and have it checked out. I use scent free detergents and use unscented soaps due to sensitive skin. This is very itchy and have been using calamine because of thyroid condition I wasn't sure if I could use Benadryl? Thanks

Benadryl is usually a safe thing to use for a rash and itching. But it doesn't get to the cause. While prickly heat is likely, if the rash persists for the next week, see a dermatologist to be certain.
