started bleeding 2 .5 years post menopausal

by chrissie63, May 09, 2009 05:30PM
I'm 45 and started my menopause at 39, since then I have had only a few periods, the last one was two and a half years ago. I've had all the tests, that kept coming back with different results, first he said it was , then it was'nt then it was again, the last blood test, he said it deffinatly was the menopause, that was 3 years ago. Then yesterday I began bleeding again after 2.5  years. My periods were always very heavy and could last up to 2 weeks, so I was very pleased to start the menopause  early. Is it normal to have a period after such a long time or have I got a problem?
