vaginal lump and soreness with discharge

I have noticed today a lump on my vagina it does not hurt and looks like a sort of large skin tag. I have for weeks had a milky discharge which is very heavy - i have tried canesten cream as this discharge can be itchy and i thought it was a touch of thrush.I am 55 and had the menopause at the age of 34, 8 years later i started bleeding and had a hysterectomy, after the op i had a very bad infection.  

I generally feel ok but this discharge is getting me down - the discharge does not smell is just heavy.  When i wear white pants it stains a very light green.

I am married but have not had sex for many years.  Please help as i am embarrassed.

I would suggest that you go see your doctor.  If the discharge is green, that usually indicates a bacterial infection.  You do not need to have sex to get a bacterial infection.  Sometimes, they just happen!  So, don't feel bad or embarrassed.  Just go see the doctor.  Regarding the lump/skin tag - I'm not at all sure.  When you go to the dr. to get checked for an infection, ask them to look at it.  I'm sure it's no big deal.  So don't stress.  Good luck to you.
