weight gain

I am on hrt for my bones, I can not take boniva . I have gained  20 lbs. in 2 years and can not get the weight off. I just went in for DNC and I was off the hormones for 2 weeks and lost 5 lbs. I work out at the gym and watch what I eat but the pounds will not come off . I am 53 years old , and have always been an average weight for my height. I feel the hrt is a big factor in weight gain, I could not lose 1lbs on hrt.  If any one has an answer let me know?
