A. Endometrial ablation is a procedure that involves destroying the lining of the uterus.  Usually it is destroyed with an electrical burn and the destruction is intended to be permanent.  However, the uterus is a light bulb shaped organ with curves and folds and it is possible to miss some areas or to only partially destroy some areas.  Over time, those areas can return and some bleeding can return with it.  The uterus and the bladder can stick together for a number of reasons.  Endometrial ablation does not usually cause this.

I had an ablation 2.5 years ago with great results, stopped all the bleeding, everything; was told it MIGHT last 8 months, so this has been an answer to prayer.  Question tho, is I am near 52, was just beginning menopause at the time, since then, my sypmtoms have mostly stopped.  Is this common, could they be gone for good, or just delayed or?  Not sure what to expect.  Since having this procedure we moved to AZ so am always having hot flashes, haha.

thanks
