My question is that I have been bleeding for about a month there are days nothing comes only when I wipe and then there are days that i get it so bad that clots the size of ping pong balls come and sometimes even a little bigger...I feel drained and with out wanting to do anything, I also have thyroid but I am not getting treated being I have no kind of medical coverage of any sort.  I need  some kind of advice on what to do. I have called to ask for an appointment at the health clinic and they gave it to me till the beggining of april. Can some pls help me?

Hi Lori...i went through much the same thing in my thirties. I remember the large clots...going pale right before they passed...then a gush of blood followed by tough cramps. In my case I was going through peri menopause....what a pain in the whatsit! I would miss for a good three months..then have a real heavy period. One time I had an ongoing period for forty days...sime of it spotting..then got heavy again...I too felt drained! Oops! No pun intended there!! I was low on iron....too much blood loss. If you have horribly heavy bleeding after passing a clot..it can be life threatening....do you have friends or family close? I will pray that you can get to an obgyn...like yesterday! In the meantime...if heavy uncontrollable bleeding occurs keep friends/ family aware and close....or call ambulance. Keep us posted!

Bleeding like that for this long may be an indication that something is not right, especially if you are losing so much blood that you feel drained and exhausted.

I understand that you have no medical coverage, but it is important that you seek medical attention. Please call the health clinic back and explain to them the severity of the situation and how urgent it is for you to see them. If they do not give you an appointment immediately, I would suggest going to the ER. Although hospitals and doctors offices can be pricey without insurance, your health is the most important, and doctors and hospitals can have payment plans where you can pay it back over a period of time.

A little bit of info about going to the hospital without insurance:

Feel better and please see a doctor ASAP!
