will i go to a nurseing home with my periord ?

New to the forums .I am 51 and think im going to be the oldest living person on my periord lol j/k i had blood test saying im going threw menopause . I had night sweats in my 30's i skipped 5 months then came back for 2 months and now it skipped 1 month and came back .Im the only one i know this old that is still having peiords.Im a grandma and wish it would stop. my peiords are very heavy (first day of my peiord i wear super plus tampon and have to change it 2 times in middle of the night ) i dont go any where for 2 days after 3rd threw 5 day im fine . will it ever stop ?? lol

Well it sounds like it is beginning to get a little irregular so menopause may be in the near future. I've heard of it taking years to complete. Wow I've never heard of anyone wanting menopause so bad. I'm sure it will eventually happen. Try talking to your gyno about this, maybe there is something that can induce menopause. Best wishes BB

I'm also new to the forum. I am 51 years, 7 months. I am still having a regular period, and have never skipped. It usually lasts 5-7 days each month. I guess you will have a new friend joining you in the nursing home that can relate to your experience. I hope that by me sharing this information, maybe it will encourage mine to stop soon.

I just turned 55... and I'm still having regular periods. The rule of thumb is that a late onset of Puberty usually translates into a late entry into Menopause. I was almost 14 when my Puberty started; so, for me, the delay in Menopause makes sense.
