33/m maried and worried of infection.

by r-mar607, Jan 08, 2007 12:00AM
I am a married 33/m stupidly on Jan.23 2005 I had protected sex with a prostitute. When I was pulling the condom off I noticed there was vaginal mucus on my back head of my penis I panicked & washed off with soap. Later that day I felt an extreme pain in the tip of my penis and I rushed home to wash more. The next day I felt the pain moving to the back of my penis, later to my right testicle & my penis head appeared wrinkled and purple. Three days later a clear discharge with pain in my bladder. Again I visited my doctor on Feb 17 2006 and he ran tests for STD's tests  again. All test came back negative but he said I have a yeast infection. Nothing changed so I went back & tested again on March 12 2006 and all test came back negative still wtih yeast infection again. Went back in May of 2006 due to a sever throat infection a swollen pale white tongue with teeth marks on tongue. I asked my doctor to test me again he said no, my doctor medtioned that I am fine and there is nothting to worry about. I have had severe cold infections & pain under arm pits and groin area with night chills & a cold sweats, twitching muscles and cramps in calves. My body feels extreme heat, thirst & fatigue under working conditions, my eyes look yellowish. This time I have a swollen pale white tongue with teeth marks. I've noticed brown spots in my face. My muscles twitch sometimes and I feel like if I am loosing muscle tone. I have seen a Urologist which was a lost case.I have lost the urge to touch my wife and be around my kids thinking that I have some infectious discease. Thanks need advice..

Youre doctor was right that further testing is not necessary.  Your symptoms are related to an illness, not related to your encounter.  It is also likely that many of your symptoms are anxiety related.  Most STD tests are 95%+ accurate at 6 weeks, others 100%.  HIV is 99%+ at 6 weeks.  Your tests were well beyond the window period.  Put it to rest.

Thanks for your quick response, Its just been a very long year for me because of the crazy foolish thing I have done. I am still confused as to what illnes may cause all these symptoms. I just want to have my active healthy lifestyle back.
thanks again...

Having gone through a scare in life myself, I can definitely relate to your anxiety.  Even from one UNPROTECTED sexual encounter, the risk of aquiring any STD is low.  You wore a condom, you were protected from all.  You had testing done beyond window period, you are 120% ok.  Relax and enjoy your future!  Take care.

I would say you may be playing a mental isssue on yourself.  You may causing yourself to get sick with worrying so much.  Or you could have another disease that has nothing to do with STD's such as a form of cancer--you may need to switch from a urologist to a different doctor and just get a full physical checking your plateletts and other levels that have nothing to do with STD's.
If you are ignoring your wife she probably already knows something major is wrong and she is wondering why you are not talking to her.  Let her know your concerns--if you don't want to let her know about your encounter, you do need to let her know your other fears.

You may also need counseling to let yourself heal if this is a mental problem.

Good Luck on healing yourself.

i will go for a full physical like you described have my plateletts checked and take it from their. I will also talk to my wife on this instead of holding it in and building up more anxiety.
thanks for your help
