5 Years of pain - STD?

Hopefully someone will have some thoughts on what I should do next - please. I am 25 years old...About 5 years ago a girl, I did not know very well (stupid!), gave me oral. After, I noticed there was a small cut on the tip of my penis...must have been caused by her teeth? Obviously this was a direct opening for her saliva to my bloodstream. When I woke up the next day and urinated there was a hesitation and what seemed to be puss came out before urine. I knew I was in trouble! I went to the doctor and he put me on Doxycycline for a week which seemed to help but still had some discomfort in the urethrea and testicles. Went to a urologist and he checked the prostate and the sample showed I had an infection. More antibiotics - doxycycline which helped, but after the medicine there was still discomfort. Went to another doctor and they did all the std test, even a urethra culture - all came back negative. He put me on Amoxicillin. After the medicine, my symptoms got worse - still discomfort in the urethra and testicles, muscle burining, light headed, joint pain, and very painful to sit. The new doctor said is was in head - which is totally crazy. Went to another doctor who put me on Cipro 750mg for 1 month - CIPRO helped me greatly but after the meds I still had the same problems as above. He referred me to another urologist - 1st visit he could not get a sample from the prostate...I thought well that should tell you something Dr. - but he thought I was fine -- too young for prostititus!! Went back a week later, tried another sample and got one...he said you do have an infection...and put me on Cipro for a month and told me not to sit so much and take warm bath. After the medicine, symptoms came back....Lived with my pain for a couple years. During this time I had a rash develop on about 1/2 my body, which would have been all over if I didnt go to the Dr. He said no big deal and put me on steriods which made it go away.

I was seeing a girl during this time and had close oral contact with her breast. About a week later a boil appeared on her nipple - she had to get it drained. She then started to have UTI symptoms (we never had intercourse) and went to the dr and got doxy - which helped...but her symptoms came back...she had severe cramps during her period. Dr performed tests and said she was fine no - std. I am afraid I may have infected her?? We broke up and I moved on. The next girl I dated had a IUD so eventually we had unprotected sex. A week later she came down with a UTI - went to the doctor and couldn't find anything wrong with her. Put her on Cirpo which helped but after symptoms came back. No discharge - just pain and cramps. Again I thought I may have been to blame so I went to the doctor...he did all the STD test...all came back negative. He put me on Levaquin 500mg for 1 month - this was the best drug so far...I thought this was the magic bullet...but after my medicine, symptoms came back. I went back to the doc and had him do a physical. He took blood and did an analysis - the results were in and he said you are one very health person...I was like are you kidding me? He said you have back problems and if it continues he was going to refer me to a back specialist. I know this is not back related!! I really think this is all related to the encounter I had 5 years ago with that girl who gave me oral - in fact I KNOW IT IS!!!

What could be in saliva that could be causing my symptoms and allowing me to pass it on to my partners, while doctors cannot diagnose the infection, virus, fungus??? Any one have any thoughts? I have about given up - living with the pain now 5+ years in my mid section is so distracting - and now since I know I do infect others I just keep to myself which is such a waste - but I cannot get the help I need. Anyone have some ideas?

dude I'm going through the same **** and I hate it, I got it at 17 and had it ever since and now I'm 24, I have also feel a shooting pain from my prostate are down to my feet, I've been tested for all STDs and they found nothing, they scheduled me to put camera down my urethra and inspect me but my medical insurance cut off. This is a dirty world and doctors need to do their homework and they need to network better amongst each other. I'm very sure this is not a mysterious thing, I know that some doctor out there knows what it is but the question is who is that doctor? If any doctor comes across this article and wishes to save my penis and my sex life, i would only love it if you can email me and explain what I have and how I go about it. I've get a nasty rash on my head that smells like fish, I've been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and given 2 week antibiotic treatment and it seems like antibiotics make me feel better when I'm on it but once i stop taking them the symptoms come back just as strong.  My e-mail is: ***@****

wow your bad news arent ya.

Next time we know somebody will be using a condom all the time dont we?:D

If I were you I would research the symptoms you may have at the same time take a stream of tests(blood, std, hiv, mri, ct scan, ultrasound) to try to find what is causing this. Nobody can sit here answering something they havnt even seen. Only you can do that and your doctor, Make sure your doctor has pretty good crudentials so you know what he's talking about when he says something.

Goodluck and take care!

Yes, we have had some simiar experiences, although our symptoms are not always the same.  Five years is a long time; I imagine you must be very frustrated and longing to regain your health.  I have found some things to be helpful.  Lately I have been doing a lot of restorative yoga, especially forward bends and other postures that stretch the legs and pelvic region, and I have found a tremendous amount of relief from the pain.

Best of luck.

Currently I have a pain in my testicles and urethra for 2 years, and I know its because of STD, I had vistited about 8 clinics, many urologists, in UK, Ukraine, Russia, all the tests came back negative, some doctors told me its all in my head, prescribed me some painkillers, but about 2 month ago I have been tested in 3 clinics for Chlamidiya, and Trich., ureaplasma, I had one month course of antibiotics, also injecting fluids in my urethra. Still the pain didnt leave me, my tests are negative again. We are all different, have different DNA strands, for some people tests and antibiotics work, for others it doesnt, that what doctors told me, and one said, only if you die and we cut you we might be able to find out why. Some told me, you have to get used to it, and live your life.
I would suggest you to check your back as well defenately, everything is connected to our spine
Also try to find a good specialist in STD area, you may try Germany or China, thats my next step. Try to strength your immune system, like having good balanced diet, don't forget antibiotics destroy liver, kidneys, enzymes, weakens your immune system overall, its very important that your immune system fights the infection as well.
You may also try non-traditional medicine (try to find the cause), I have a friend who has ability to scan human body, basically he can see where is infection, he told me 4 years ago I had some infection around prostate area, but I didnt believe him, since I didnt have any signs (or I didnt notice them), I know it might sound crazy, but he was rihgt (and he still can see it). And the last thing most doctors say is don't have sex intercourse, until you are treated.

Sorry to read of your ungoing pain.  If I were you, I would try to get help from one of the Mayo clinics.  I am not sure if they would take your case, but I would look into it.  Another possibility would be a medical school that is part of a University where there are specialists who would take on your illness.

All my best.
