Abdominal Lymph Node Removal (Testical Cancer)

I recently had my Abdominal Lymph Nodes removed (about 54 of them) & I was wondering if someone out there can tell me more about the after math side effects of this surgery & can you recommend that I still get chemotherapy.
I first had a testicle removed & the cancer went to the Lymph Node afterwords - they only found the one lymph node that had the cancer but it was about 3.5 centimeters at the time of removal........I am just scared of the chemo but maybe someone out there can give me some advice.
