There is nothing you can do with a floater. You will stop noticing it after a while. It's not harmful, and just about everybody has them. I only notice them when I look for them. the only cures are very dangerous and involve eye surgery, with a high chance of complications. So just learn to live with it, we all do.
As said before, if you see light flashes or cobwebs, go see an eye doctor.
Is the floaters are easily recoverable/heelable? what type of teatment is required?
Hi,
Is the floaters are easily recoverable/heelable? what type of teatment is required?
Hi,
I have had the same problems but also have had light flashes and black outs.
In about 2000 I was diagnosed as having rod/cone dystrophy. I currently have about 15 degrees of central vision left. The ophthalmologist told me that the floaters will deminish as the fluid in the eyes stabilizes.
I still have all my other other vision problems but the floaters are a lot less. I'm only 46. I believe that the other problems like the Rod/Cone dystrophy is due to neurological problems that I have.
Either I got used to the floaters but they are a lot less than in 2000.
All the best.
Ron
No, it can not be removed by you because it's inside of your eye. See the eye Dr like the above posters recommended to find out if it is indeed a floater or something else. But from your description it does sound like a floater and many of us have them. Remar
My vision is clear, only one black dot is floating follow my vision. I have read about floater, and i have same symptoms like floaters. Is there any remedy to remove it by myself if it is not dangerous? ohterwise i will go to see opthamologist
i work for an eye care center and it sounds like floaters and or your tear duct film is dirty , i have the same problem , if you start seeing flashes of light of or cobweb effects get to a doctor asap
It could be a floater. Those are nothing to be concerned about. Do you have access to an opthamologist? If eye problems run in your family, I would see one just to rule out macular degeneration or something like that, but those more serious eye issues have other (pretty obvious) symptoms like visual distortion. You might google "floaters" and see what they say.
