Blood vessel broke on my penis?

A few of days ago, I had sex with my girlfriend. Everything was as usual. The next day, when I went to have a shower, I discovered this blackish-purple, small, bump on the top of my penis. It's not large, it's perhaps 1 cm high and wide. Maybe even a bit less. It doesn't hurt a lot, it only hurts a bit if I go against it when I'm walking or something. It doesn't even really hurt, it feels uncomfortable.
So my question is, what is this? I assume it's a broken blood vessel. Will it go away on it's own? It has been 2 days now and I think it's getting a bit better, but I'm not sure.
Should I wait a week, see if it goes away on it's own?
