Bloody mucus around stool after I manipulate w/ my finger

I do have 3 bowel movements weekly.  However i am constipated in that all stools are hard  becasue I take vicodain for pain.  I feel bloated and naueseous and then I know it will soon be followed by fecal matter ready to be released. 1/3rd of the time  everythign moves on it own.  Other times I massage /apply pressure the areas around the rectum and it comes out - a decent amout.   NO BLOOD.

Sometimes when I am "ready to go" but no muscle movement  emits the stoll, I put on a rubber glove and use my  finger  to push /pull out the rock hard stools.  It is then when I see traces of mucus and blood around my stool.  Am i cutting myself    It loks likes the blood has been there intertwined withing the stool though - ie: like it just did not happen   Ihad a clean colonoscopy  18 months ago and  a  clear endoscopy  6 months ago.

I have to move more /get more excercise  but  this scares me   The blood is not alot but it is in b/t the cluster of hardened stool.   I have  sever back issues thus the vicodan  I am under alot of stress too ( too long to detail)

Should I be that worried   When I inspect the stools that I did not manipulte with my finger,  they never seem to have blood  but the  blood I see when I do manipulate, seems to be intertwinded and not 100%  brihet red like a I just cut myself /caused a fissure.     Is it too soon fo another colonscopy?

This discussion is related to i stuck my finger up my butt cause i couldnt poop now its bleeding.

Or Benefiber.  I never had any luck with Miralax, it loosened things so much that it was hot and painful.  But daily Benefiber did the trick.

Your method should only be used for impaction.  You need to manage your constipation so it doesn't get that bad because you will develop problems like hemorrhoids and diverticulosis.

Take magnesium citrate tablets in the morning.  Try Miralax every day.  You can alternate with Metamucil if that makes stools too loose.
