Botched circumcision, is there a non-pricey solution?

by yetisurf, May 12, 2009 02:19PM
My circumcision appears to be botched. A bridge of skin is connecting the top/rear edge of the glans to the apparent circumferential scar. Actually there are two so-called bridges. Not a big deal, does not affect performance, but does look weird and it kills my self confidence. This is something I've dealt with my whole life, and I am ready to get this fixed along with my self esteem. However I'm young and poor. This looks like it would be a very very small procedure to some one who knew what they were doing...I was so distressed about it at one point in my mid-teens I even considered taking a razor and cutting it myself. Messed up. Obviously, OBVIOUSLY, I didn't and I wont. I'm just looking for a safe solution I can actually afford. Please help.

Any word on this?  Did you take care of this?

This probably isnt what you want to hear, but... if the skin-bridge is not affecting the function of your unit, you should try to learn to live with it and forget about it.  I doubt that you go around inspecting mens penis' , but if you did you would find a lot of weird looking things that dont look like the "pornstar" penis'.

I for one have a skin tag that was left from my circumcision that bothered me for a while. It looks a bit like a hanging mole.   However I have never had a single woman comment on it before or after I was married.  My wife of 10 years says she didnt even notice it or know that it was "different".

A final comment...  Once you have it treated you could (1) create a problem that didn't previously exist.  Then there really could be something to bother you, or (2) you might not like the way it looks after treated and start to focus on that instead.

I hope this helped.

The first question you could ask is whether your insurance would cover repairing a botched circumcision. The second would be to ask whether the hospital that circumcised you can be held liable for damages.
