Cuts on penis, scars keep reopening

So my boyfriend was affected by a yeast infection that I had, he hasn't been circumcised so it affected his penis bad, we have been having sex for 9 months before we did anything about it, so it started hurting to have sex for him and he developed cuts, I have been trying everything I can to help my problem but nothing's changed yet, the doctor told him to use lube or to take some time for the cuts to heal and don't have sex but it's hard for us obviously, I was wondering if anyone else has expirenced this and what they did about it, his cuts keep reopening so we don't know what to do , thanks

penis wounds take time to heal because of the moisture so he needs something to take out the moisture from the penis, a demartologist would be able to help with that
