Cysts on back and thigh (Warning, gross content ahead)

by Jax2, Mar 20, 2008 01:47AM
I have, at least according to the doctor, a sebatious (sp?) cyst on my outter thigh. Recently, I have begun to develop a few lumps on my upper back as well. I am 32 years old and have had the one on my thigh for about 8 years now.

Now for the gross stuff, and I appologize, but I can't afford to go to the doctor at the moment and was hoping someone here could maybe guide me a bit...  well anyhow, tonight I had an itch right near the cyst on my outter thigh, and I rubbed it and scratched it a bit, and I felt something wet, and when I pulled my hand back, I had some liquid on it that came from the cyst and smelled absolutely horrid. I squeezed the cyst as hard as I could and got at LEAST a tablespoon of this liquid out of the cyst, which is still there, btw. It is still leaking and the smell, as I have said, is putrid and making me nausious.

I am rather concerned about this because I have not had any problems with this up to this point. Sure, it got a little sore when I drive every day and it gets rubbed on, but it's never leaked or spewed liquid like this.

Any suggestions as to what could be going on?

To: Cysts on your back and thigh
They are actually quite common.  The infection does need to be purged, as pleasant as it is.  It's just really bad acne.  As long as they do not cause too much discomfort.  You could always go to the dr and have them slice it open, then stitch you up, but you can always take care of it in  your own home.  Normally docs give you an antibiotic just in case, but I think we can deal with them without meds.  They're affraid if something goes wrong they will be sued.
