Dematitis on head of penis?

Dematitis on head of penis?

Hey, for about a month now I have noticed a peristent red patch on the head of my penis measuring about 1x1cm.  It appears slightly raised but is not painful to the touch. It is not leaking any fluids and is not itchy just this persistent redness.  The appearance has remained unchanged since I first noticed it.  Since my last STD test for anything (all negative) I have been sexaully inactive.  I saw the doctor two days ago and he prescribed a nystatin cream (for yeast infection) but I have not observed any improvement whatsoever.  Any thoughts on what this red patch could be?

Thanks

I also have a red rash on my glans (glands) and I too was told it was a fungal infection and was given Ketoconazole. I've used it for a week and half and had no change at all. I think I will try Lamisil or Lotrim AF. I did go thru a tube of Lotrim Ultra before going to Dr. and it did nothing. But maybe Lotrimin AF
has different ingriedents. The Dr. only looked at it for a minute
from a distance and felt definetly it was a fungal infection. But I still need a cure.
