Dishcarge from penis

My boyfriend has a discharge coming from his penis, thick and whitish to faint yellow and he says that when he goes to urinate in the morning, it hurts a little...nothing to complain about...To my knowledge he has been very faithful to me and has not been with anyone other than me. However, I had my menstrual cycle about two weeks ago and 2 days before it ended, my started having a irritated feeling coming from my vagina. But after a few days 3-4 it all went away. I have not been with anyone at all but him...what do you think is going on.

possible a urinary tract infection. does he have any other symptoms. feeling c rappy or temp. I hate to say STD as you say he has been faithful as far as you know, but... I would get it checked out, sometimes STD's can lay dorment then all of a sudden rear their ugly head

Discharge from the penis is always an STD until proved otherwise.  Thick and yellowish suggests gonorrhea, but chlamydia or nongonoccal urethritis (NGU) are possible.  Healthy younger men rarely get UTI, and UTI doesn't cause discharge anyway. Both of you need to see a health care provider without delay.

We went to the dr yesterday and he said just gave us a rx for penicillin...he did not test us for anything...he just gave us both the rx...will this help us??

Also, he has had UTI's previously and did not go to the dr for it...

Bad move.  You should have been tested.

Are you in the United States or elsewhere else?  Most gonorrhea and other causes of urethral discharge are treated with pills, not shots.  Chlamydia is a good bet, in addition to gonorrhea--and there are no shots that cure chlamydia.  A public health STD clinic would have been a better idea.

Younger men rarely get UTI.  If he gets discharge from the penis, that's an STD, like gonorrhea or chlamydia.  Make sure any other sex partners either of you has had also get treated.

Im getting checked, tomorrow this really sucks because its my that was my last partner. what harm does it cause? Does it kill you I have never had this problem?
