Do man lost their sexual appetite after 40?

My hubby soon will turn 49 yo I'm 31 we been together for 11 years, at the beginnig we had sex every day it was great, but since a year ago he is not that interesting in sex, I have to initiate things, is still good when we have it, but sometimes I feel that I'm forcing him, is this normal ??? Or it's the age difference?? Can someone help me!!

This sort of issue is not uncommon, and there are many potential causes.  It can be related to age, in which case there would be a physical cause, such as low testosterone or poor cardiovascular health.  

The first thing that I suggest is that your husband receive a full physical examination, to rule out any issues with his general health.  He could also discuss this issue with his GP at the time of that examination, or he might want to go to a urologist, as well.  Testosterone replacement could be advised, if that is the cause.  Other causes usually have therapies, as well.

The problem could also be due to stress, or some other mental factor.  Has he been under added stress of late?  Getting exercise, if he is physically able, is good as a stress reducer, helps with his cardiovascular health, and can do wonders for his confidence.  All of this could increase his libido.

It is not uncommon for a man to have these issues, and they certainly occur more frequently as we age.  But, that does not mean that there isn't a lot that can be done to improve the situation.
