Erection Question

by JCmcc, May 08, 2007 12:00AM
Hi Guys.

I am 28 and am curious to see if any of you experience the following phenomena or if you could direct me in some way.

I have no problems getting an erection by myself when I am alone.

But, when I am with someone alone it is very difficult and is certainly never the kind of one that I get alone.

I do not know what to think about it.

Help would be welcome.

If you don't have problems when your alone then everything physically should be ok.  It sounds like you become anxious or nervous when someone else is involved.  Not being able to achieve an erection with someone can stem from various different emotional issues.  Could be fear of performance or just a feeling of awkwardness.  What have your relationships been like up until this time?  You said your 28.  Have you ever had a bad experience with someone who was too demanding or made you feel inadequate?  Sometimes these things can lead to the problem you describe.  Usually this will tend to go away on it's on given time but it always helps if you can get to the root of the problem.

Try and think about what goes through your mind during those times your having trouble.  See if you can figure out what's really bothering you.  Work on relaxing and understand that each partner is different and most people don't expect miracles.  Try not to put big expectations on yourself to preform.

I hope this helps somewhat.  It's really hard to know what is actually causing it without knowing the situation surrounding it or any background.

Good luck.
Rod.
