Flomax causing symptoms to get worse 34y/o Male

Hi All,

I am a 34 y/o male with BHP like symptoms that have been going on for years. I rarely can make it through the night without having to get up and urinate. Many years ago a Urologist thought I had a prostate infection and did a long course of antibiotics. I seem to have the problem come and go, if I drink a lot of alcohol (not a big drinker) I will have severe prostate issues where I will need to go over and over and over (but almost always at night). Even during the day I seem to go more than the average person and tend to have a tiny bit of leakage after.

It seems to have been worse than usual the past few weeks so I went to a new Urologist and he said my prostate seemed a bit large for my age. He prescribed me Flo-Max and a daily does of Aleve for swelling.

The Flo-Max seemed to increase my frequency, retention, and made my stream even weaker and also made it so I can barely ejaculate. I have been on it 5 days and plan to not take it today and call him tomorrow. I also have many of the other bad side effects, increased pulse, insomnia, dry mouth, dizziness, and quit a bit others.

Has anyone else had these issues and could I possibly not have BPH but some other condition? Any insight would be great, thank you in advance.
