Fordyce spots - occurrence

Hello. I am 22 yo male. Several years ago I've notice that I have Fordyce spots on every possible area that it might appear: penis, scrotum, both lips, inside of the mouth. Recently it started bothering me even more...

I've read a lot about this condition and I know that almost 70-80% of population are affected by this.
But I don't know if my situation is that common...

Are there any statistics that can show me how many people have Fordyce spots on every possible area? Is it rare? or common?
Because for example my mother has is on lips but doesnt have inside of the mouth.

Please answer... It really gets on my mental health..

And also I've read a lot of  articles, medic books, essays about this and all I can say is that they are really common on every of this area: genitals (70-80% of men), lips and mouth (80%). But it still doesn't calm me down about my case, that's why I wrote this answer here.

Oh and sorry for my mistake, my mather also has it inside of her mouth, lips, and genitals (so all areas possible).

Hi, thanks for answer.

So u mean that many people have Fordyce spots on only 1 area for example: shaft of penis, but don't have it on other areas for example lips right?

Hi,
Even though Fordyce spots are seen in all these areas of the body, many people have it only on localized areas and not all places. Nevertheless, people are different and you need not have to worry too much since they are harmless oil glands. If you are taking more fatty food, try to reduce it, add more vegetables and fruits to your diet. In any case, get a confirmation from a doctor that they are only Fordyce spots and not due to some vitamin defficiency.
