Girlfriend's Intriguing 'Temperature'...

Hello there.

I like to think that I know a thing or two about bodies when concerning sex/sexual activity, et cetera. Granted, I certainly don't know everything there is to know, but, as a guy, I think I can hold my own fairly well.

So I'm rather intrigued by something I found - and have never before experienced - with my girlfriend (whom I've been dating now for two months).

Her lower back seems to yield a higher temperature than the rest of her body. Sounds weird, right? I'm absolutely fascinated by it. The temperature difference seems to increase after she has an orgasm (which is how I first noticed it to begin with). It's obviously not a problem for either one of us - and when I told her about it, she just laughed and said I was crazy (probably true, but beside the point).

Has anyone ever experienced/heard of something like this? She's firm on her "you're crazy" stance and I just know I'm not making this up. When I put my hand on the small of her back and then move it to a different area of her back/body, there is clearly a difference in temperature. Anyone...?

Thank you for the encouragement - though I imagine some people will tire of my constant sarcasm and humor after a while. I'm trying to keep myself in line.

I visited the Women's Forum a few days ago and was very interested by it. There are many questions there, and many more answers. Everyone there seems genuinely knowledgeable - as do most of the people here. The Women's Forum seems like a great resource/reference site for all sorts of "women-related" questions. And I've never seen so many abbreviations in one place! There were a few threads whose entire contents I read - twice! - and still had no idea what I read. Dictionary.com is now my best friend.

Julianna, that's not crude at all. And as far as I can recollect, there's no difference internally.

She's a beautiful woman with a beautiful figure that'll make any coke bottle jealous. With that said, as logical as JohnWayne's answer is, I don't know if it necessarily applies to this situation. I'm certainly open to other theories.

You got my attention with this question..lol I just have a few of my own to ask before I offer an answer.. and forgive me if this sounds crude, but is there a marked difference in the internal vaginal area as well?

Yeah, but now I'm wondering if that's different than this. You said her temperature rose when you were necking. My girlfriend's lower back temperature is always higher than the rest of her body.

Thanks... I'm thinking about how to channel the heat from my legs & put it to good use. So far, besides getting rid of the electric blanket & drying towels, I have not come up with anything good.

haha

AMA, thank you. Now at least I know of one other person who knows, first hand, what I'm talking about. Enjoy your atomic heat missiles.  : )

Hey  -- Found your thread really interesting & funny because my boyfriend always comments about the heat in my legs. For some reason my legs are about 20 degrees warmer than the rest of me -- it's so weird! He calls them my atomic heat missiles... and he always wonders, Why?  But -- I have no answer for him, I think it's just the way I am and cannot explain it.

John, thank you. For such an intriguing aspect of her body, I'm a little disappointed at the rather scientific and medically simple explanation you've provided. It's not that I don't appreciate it, I guess I just need to come to grips with the fact that my girlfriend is, in fact, human.  : ) Thank you; I'm happy to finally know the answer (even if it's not as mystical as I'd hoped).

2Sweet, laughter is a wonderful thing and I'm honored to know that I can provide it whenever possible. I went poking around and found the Women's Forum, but only lurked. I checked out the latest 15 or so threads over there and felt woefully inadequate in terms of wanting to reply. But it seems like an enormous place of education. Next time I have a "man problem", maybe I'll post it over there so we can all get a giggle out of it.

Radak, thank you. I first noticed it after she had an orgasm. There was a clear difference in temperature - I mean clear. And I just thought it was cool. There are two tell-tale signs that a woman has had a genuine orgasm (sensitive to touch and a red neck - she exhibits both), and I figured this was a third. Until, the next day, there was still a temperature difference. It wasn't quite as distinct then, but still definitely there. And whenever I "check it", it's there. I'm very intrigued by it.

Welcome back! I didn't recognize your name at first and I'm sorry your return hasn't been as pleasant as your first visit.
I don't have an answer as to why, but I had a girlfriend once whose body temp rose when we necked and I mean a lot, too!
Good luck on the answer!

There's very little fat on her lower back; just muscle, and her back bone, right?

Fat's an insulator. The heat's escaping. The heat won't escape as much through skin that has more fat under it.

Therfore, her lower back feels hotter when she's worked up. It's going to feel closer to her internal temperature than other parts of her body that have a higher fat insulator - especially the neighboring areas, but, middle back, and stomach.

i am lmao about the teeth protruding out of your foot. that was well written and well versed. i wouldnt want you to go to the womens forum and try you will be lashed lol. in all seriously there are many issues there that are very women sensitive and emotional. your right though, if your girlfriend develops a cyst that is filled with hair, nails and teeth you will get many replies. usually when we (us women from our side) reply we can be more critical but if we respond it must have triggered something inside.

Sailor's Wife, thank you. I know it's not an extreme medical condition; I don't have a full set of teeth protruding from my foot and I haven't suddenly grown a blow hole, but I found it interesting enough to inquire about.

Adevotee... just like who_is_this, I don't understand why you replied if you don't care. Is life a little bland for you? Are you bored? Are you angry? Are you unhappy with yourself? Is this a classic example of "lashing out"?

Look at the title of the thread. It says, "Girlfriend's Intriguing 'Temperature'..." not "OMG, PLEASE HELP ME, MY GIRLFRIEND IS MELTING!!!" It's a non-issue about which I was merely expressing some curiosity. So once you've read the thread and realized it's not a big deal, you should've been able to just move on. Taking the time to write "who cares?" is pretty silly when you think about it.

I can't fathom how my boil thread - in all its grotesque honesty and simplicity - received so much positive feedback, and an interesting and mysterious (in my opinion) finding of a harmless feature of my girlfriend's anatomy is regarded with such disdain. I will try to find a hideous and repulsive flaw in her body and post about it. Maybe that will yield a more respectable flurry of positive and genuine replies.

Sailor's Wife, where is the women's forum? It sounds like fun.

hey first of all we are invading the MENS forum. what if they came to our side and said who cares about our burning nipples? give the guy a break. even if you dont care he was curious about it. he didnt ask us in the womens forum so you should be thankful for that. after all we like to use ours for fun stuff.

It's certainly comforting to know that there are people in this world who will drop what they're doing to helpfully and respectfully answer a question. Try not to get in their way.

I cleared my busy schedule this morning to address such burning issues as this.  Pun intended.

That's exactly the kind of helpful and informative reply I was looking for, thank you. Ironic that you don't think it's worth talking about, yet you still replied.

I don't think you're crazy, but I sort of think this falls in the "who cares?" category.

Sorry.  It just doesn't seem to be worth the energy of you and your girlfriend discussing it.
