Glans of penis shrinking...

The glans (head) of my penis is shrinking. This has been going on for a few months now. Now some doctors tell me this is impossible, but it cant be as its happening to me.....

I had a very normal healthy sex life, but started to notice that after intercourse the head of my penis was shrinking, almost like the skin is rubbing away. This also came with a little bit of redness and soreness and some very small purple spots on the head. Now when i become erect the head is still quite spongy and isnt as hard and large as it used to be...

I went to see the doctor and he looked at me clueless and prescribed some trimovate or something. this didnt help so i went to the GUM clinic and they gave me the all clear. Went to see another doctor who said i had Eczema and prescribed some steroid cream. This again didnt help and almost made the shrinking worse... I have also had blood tests on testosterone and hormones all coming back clear. I have now been referred to dematologist and am waiting for appointment. During this time i have also developed some a red rash around one of my eyes which i am treating with hydrocortisone cream but isnt going away. Are the two related?

If anyone can help or point me in the right direction iit would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
From some of your symptoms, it appears like an yeast/parasitic infection. If you have any intestinal problem, like parasites, e coli or candida infection, probably solving that might help you.

It's not impossible, its been happening to me for the last 5 years. You'll notice it become "flatter" more than anything. Only advice I can give is lay off for as much as you can to preserve it.

I never heard of a penis head shrinking. If you're masturbating, try not doing that for a month to see if you see any improvement in the look of your penis. Maybe you're damaging your penis head with all the vigorous rubbing.
