I can understand the frustration and confusion you are going through. But try not to let this scare you too much. It's probably best to stop reading up on this on Internet. You are likely just going to make your anxiety and confusion worse. The metiformin could very well have likely caused this fluctuation in your testosterone levels. Noticing an improvement after coming off the medication lends support to this. Give your body some time to adjust and stabilize. Exercise is good way to increase testosterone levels... and it might help with the anxiety as well. Have you spoken to your fiance about what's going on. I'm sure she will understand, and letting her know what's up will let her know that your decreased libido has nothing to do with her. As you wait for your T levels to stabilize, you and you fiance can do other sexual activities that don't require an erection. You can use this time to do a bit of experimentation. But do know that you won't feel like this forever, your body will stabilize. Just try to give it time without it bringing you down. Depression will make your sex drive even lower. Because your T levels are fluctuating so much, I don't know if this would be appropriate, but you can always speak to your doctor about testosterone replacement therapy until things get back to normal.
All the best..
