Hernia and Testicle

I am a 50 yr. old male who had open inguinal hernia repair 12/08 after a sm. bulge appeared near groin w/ a burning sensation;  surgery went well & plug system used for my sm. right  hernia.  I had no pain & was back to normal in days -I waited over a mo. to go back to the gym & over the next mo. worked my way back.  Several days post-op, I noticed my right testicle hanging lower than before &  just slightly tender.  Pharmacist suggested wearing a suspensory as he indicated that in surgery, the Dr. had to move/pull/stretch some ligaments, cords, etc.  I stopped wearing the suspensory after 2 wks. & things went back to normal.  Recently, I have been able to feel a tenderness in the area of the incision with very minimal burning -no bulge/pain;  but after a hot bath, my right testicle is hanging lower (@ 1/2 -3/4") - it raises in cold & I seem to have mild epididmitis (sp).  Am I not healed yet?  Could this be scar tissue releasing? It has now 6 mos. post surgery.   Suggestions?
