Hot flashes and Flushing and Sensation in Throat

I for off and on for 10 years have had the following episode(s)....
1-My face turns very red, sometimes the socket of my eyes stay normal color and my face is so red I look like a racoon, ha!
2-I get very hot (hot flashes), especially in face, but feel warm all over. Body temp does not rise thought.
3-Feel a sensation in my throat. Just below adam's apple. Like something is swollen and feels like I have mucuos stuck there and always wanting to clear my throat and swallow.
Thyroid tests have always been fine.
This is very annoying though. Anyone have any insight??
