How do I fix this?

by RavensFan2k3, Jun 18, 2007 12:00AM
Hey everyone...I'm having erectile dysfunction problems. I recently got bloodwork but my doc only tested total test, estradiol, and thyroid. Here are the results...

Estradiol: 24 pg/mL (ref range 0-56)

Testosterone: 397 ng/dl
-The ranges are only for ages 20-49 (ref range 262-1593), and >50 (181-758).
-My test is 397!!! I'm only 18, so I dont fall under that age range, but its still low.

THYTSH3: 1.690 mclUnit/mL (ref range 0.500-4.000)

I dont know what to think. I know I used to overmasturbate...ALOT, and there is zinc loss with semen loss and I'm having alot of zinc deficiency symptoms, so maybe I have low zinc levels. If I supplement with zinc, could that boost my test levels back up to where its supposed to be for my age? What do you guys think I should do?

More important is what does your physician have to say about your lab results.  He or she should be the one that informing you of your options.  Your are pretty young to be having those types of issues.  However, I don't believe that masturbation is the cause of your problems, but I am not trained medical professional.  Make sure you establish a good relationship with your doctor.  It makes a great different in patient care.  If you find that you cannot relate to your physician or he/she lacks compansion for your situation, find another doctor.  I wish you well.
