Husband wants circumcision!!!

Okay, so my husband is 22 years old, and is uncircumcised due to him being his mothers first born. According to my husband, when he was born, his mother just decided not too, and that he could make that decision later on. Funny thing is, his brother (2 out 3) WAS circumcised at birth.

Well, I honesty don't have a problem with it, but it is RUINING our sex life! Everytime we begin sex, it hurts him to put it in. He blames it on me being extremely tight, but when we are having sex a couple times a day, you'd think he would get used to how "tight" it is?? Once he gets it in "right" he can keep going until we decide to switch positions, then it's back to square one. :(

We are active duty, and want to know how the heck does he go about making an appointment for that kind of thing?! What will it take for him to have the minor procedure done? Will it hurt him, and will it be harder to heal because of the size, and his age?? I have dealt with the healing process of a newborn, but this is completely different. So I would LOVE to find someone who is older who has had a circumcision!!!! We are both super curious and want to know all about it!!

I think I have covered everything, please, please help us! We both want this procedure, and to have our sex lives normal!!! All questions/comments and suggestions are MORE than welcome. (: Thanks!

Tell him to visit an urologyst. He is only 22 years so his foreskin needs to stretch more in order to have painless sex. I was circumcised at 44, but mine was for medical reasons and after visiting many doctors and many medications to cure my recurrent balanitis. It hurt, but is manageable, first days and nights are the worse, but after the stitches disolve the healing process goes fast. I still believe that circumsicion has to be done only for medical reasons, tell to look for more answers to his condition and if you still have more questions and really want it done  send me messages to my inbox. Good luck.  P.D.  mine was done one year ago.  Ra.

If his foreskin is too tight, he can fix that without surgery. Simply stretching it on a regular basis will expand the foreskin over time, so it's loose enough that sex is no longer painful. It's the same principle others have used with foreskin restoration (being circumcised isn't all that great, believe it or not). Google the phrase "tight foreskin" to give him some idea of what others with this issue have done.

If it's just that the foreskin hurts to retract, it could be a yeast infection or an some sort of inflammation like balanitis - both of which are easily treated. A urologist would know how to treat either one. If he doesn't, get a second opinion.

@AnnieBrooke thank you so much! I didn't know what specialty would handle these type of cases. My guess was an OB/GYN, because I interned with one who did vasectomy's, so I figured he'd do men's circumcisions as well...

@gymdandee, well ehh I don't think I should tell him that it's going to be painful or he'll back out :P lol Yes we use lube and it does help!

I'm just concerned that even after we finish, he has to pull the foreskin and massage it because he says it tends to hurt, like a burning type of hurt. :( but it's not ALL the time.. I have made him go to the doc due to the pain and to have it checked out, and they told him everything is fine, and they don't see any infections, but when the doc did the exam, he pulled the foreskin back to look and my husband about passed out.. Yet the doc STILL didn't do anything about it! It's kind of frustrating :\

I wish I knew more to tell you, but the person to talk to is a urologist.  Men do get circumcised, and by the reports, it is more painful to heal from than a newborn (adults heal more slowly than do kids).  But a urologist would be the one to ask.
