Hi, I saw your comment about having had epididymitis twice before in your life. I was wondering if you could comment on my situation. Did you have obvious swelling when you had epididymitis? Was is caused by an STD or anything? I'd appreciate it. I've been having this pain for almost 3 weeks now and have an appointment with a urologist next thurs (4 week mark)

About 6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with gonorrhea. I was given 250mg of ceftriaxone and 1000mg of zithromax. About 2.5 weeks ago, I started getting this pain in my left testicle. It's not much of a pain as it is a discomfort which feels as if someone has kicked me. I did a urine analysis test and a urine test for gon/chlam a week ago and they came out negative. My doc physically examined my testicles and said that if I had epididymitis, my testicles would be physically swollen, which they're not.

What could this possibly be? I plan on going to a urologist, but cant anytime soon. Is it possible I have bacteria in my system which the STD/urineanalysis tests are not detecting?
