Labido Question for the Gals

by sunseeker, Aug 25, 2006 12:00AM
Is it ok to refer to you as Gals?.....Anyway here's my question with a little preface.

I know that the results I get here will be a bit skewed because of the nature of the forum but I'm really interested in your responses.  I'm also going to post this in the woman’s section,  so please don't answer here if you posted in the other area.

I've always heard that women’s libido gets kicked up in their 40's.  Since my wife is 38 now, I'm looking forward to this era, but I'm also skeptical that I'm just getting my hopes up.  My wife has generally had a low drive (by my standards of course).

So how many of you have experienced this increase in libido/arousal? Or not?  or can you speak for any of your friends, sisters, etc.  You need not elaborate,  but if you want to, I'd like to hear your experience.

Ok...back to our regular scheduled program....

I'm a guy, but I've shared a relationship with more than my fair share of women in their 40s. I would say, GENERALLY SPEAKING, something definitely happens when women cross that "four-oh" line. There's a switch somewhere, and it gets flipped.

I've noticed, GENERALLY SPEAKING, that women 40 and over tend to exhibit a higher level of maturity than their younger counterparts. Earlier this year, I ended an almost-three-year relationship with a woman in her late thirties. She was a bit too impatient and "princess-like" on too many occasions. Not the calm, reserved woman that someone on the cusp of 40 normally is be. She, however, was insatiable, and I can't imagine the relentless sex kitten she'll be in a year or two.

Does your wife have self esteem issues? Have you ever asked her about her libido? If so, what does she say? Does she like sex?

This would be an excellent question for the new Sexuality and Relationship forum.  I don't think its a pay forum.

Have you stopped and considered it may not be her ? That's why some women perfer older men, they know how to please a woman because they have had more experience. I am told " Anyone can ride a horse but it depends on how well it was trained on how will you can ride it."
