Large pimples forming under groin pubic hair

by Shade05, Aug 16, 2006 12:00AM
Just a few weeks ago Ive noticed what seemed to be a large pimple forming under my groin pubic hair. over the course of about a week it grew to the size to where it was easily popped and blood and white puss came out just like a normal pimple. then it healed and i thought everything was fine, but about a week later i noticed another one forming an inch or two from the first one. I am not sexualy active, so i dont see how this could possibly be an STD of some sort. I dont know if this is a serious problem or not, but for now im just hoping that they'll stop forming. So far it has been 3 of them, one at a time, over the course of about a month.
Please help me figure out if this is something serious or not,
Thanks

If you are shaving in that area this could be ingrown hairs.

Hmm, i dont shave, so i dont think they are ingrown hairs. They look, feel, and act like pimples in every way, so at first i just assumed that i just had a common pimple, just on an unusual part of my body. Do you think its normal to have boils/cysts in that area of the body? is it anything serious? or is it just a common thing that anyone could come across sooner or later?
Thanks.

I am a female who is not sexually active (for many years)  I currently have a large cyst low in my pubic area that must be ready to explode any time.  I only wish it would.  It is very hot and tender to the touch.  Also painful to walk.  Sometimes I need to go to the bathroom and cry.  Yes, it hurts that bad.  I'm too embarassed to go to the doctor.  About 2 weeks ago I had the first one which was about the same size, maybe a little smaller.  I am freaking out.  What can I do to get some releif?

On a smaller scale, I have had 3 to break out on my face.

Is there something I'm missing in my diet that is causing this?

My vision has been worsening over th past 6 months too.

Hi,  I am an "older" lady, but not sexually active for about 4 yrs. I also have been getting these cysts there.  I have seen a Dr because a couple of them got really big & I could not stand the pain waiting for them to break.  I have had these for aprox 2 yrs off & on.  sometimes 5 at a time.  OUCH !!
Recently I was ill with something that required 2 different antibiotics, overlapping. After a ten (10) day ,double dose session with them I am very pleased to say my cyst have now been gone ( knock on wood)  for over 2 weeks.  So what ever kind of bacteria they are caused from ,antibiotics help. Really.  You really should see a Dr. ,it may just be a fungi infection.  Try to stay dry,& clean there.  My Dr says overweight people are more prone to them. LOL  I am overweight.
Hugs & Better Health to all.

To: All of you.
Google the word "hidradenitis".  My sister and I have this and it is a disease that  that is not treatable.  Hurts like H E L L!!!!  They actually tunnel and come back.  They start off as coming to  a head and being able to lance them.  But eventually they do not come to a head and they have to be surgically removed.  My sister had this done and each time (she has had over 3 surgeries in the past 2 years) and has been out of work 6 weeks each.  It is a disease that doesn't get a lot of attention and that is why there is no cure.  Sounds like some of you have it.  Seriously - Google it and check out the stories and pictures... Good luck!
