Lump On Penis

There is a small lump on my penis. When not erect its small enough to fit under my finger nail slghtly, when erect not.
when i feel it it feels as tho it is part of a vein or something, but it is a lump along the vein and is enlarged when i am erect.
I have not felt any symptopms, and have known about this for 2 months. It has not gotten any larger.
What could this be? i will see a doctor soon.
