Lump at bottom of left ribcage, some discomfort

the past few weeks iv noticed a not real noticable bump at the bottom of my left ribcage, when i press on it i dont feel anything, discomfort seems to come from the same area.
iv been drinking beer daily for the last few months, just at night time but i drink alot of it.
i havent been drinking the past few days to see if this helps, but i was wondering what it maybe could be and if drinking can cause anything in that area to become swollen. my poop is normal, i pee normal, no problems other then the slight discomfort from that area.
