'Man Boobs' Help!

'Man Boobs' Help!

Hey everyone..my name is Dan. Im currently 18 years old, and suffering from Gynecomastia. Ive had it since i was 13-14, and recieved it naturally. Since then, i have dreaded removing my shirt in front of ANYONE, even my best friends. Thing is, im not fat at all! Im in decent shape, weighing 144 at 5' 8"

It certainly isnt a bad case of gynecomastia, but it is definately noticable because its mostly my nipples that distort my shape. They point outward.

I have brought it up with my mother, but she just says "its not that bad", but she doesnt know what its like to be plagued with something this embarassing and at the worst age! I should be out at swimming pools and beaches with my friends.

Ive done lots of research and im hoping its just Puberal gynecomastia (temporary). If anyone knows how far into puberty a thing like gynecomastia would disappear, please share, because i may be a late bloomer, therefore, a late gynecomastia disappearerer ehhe. I have armpit hair, pubic hair, a full penis, semi-light facial hair that hasnt darkened yet (im blonde), and mild acne on my shoulders.

WHEN WILL THIS DISSAPPEAR!? i cannot live another summer with this! please give me some encouragement to perhaps have another approach with my parents.

Thank you.

If you have had it for 4-5 years, it may not go away completely on its own. The little reading I have done on the subject says pubertal gynecomastia generally clears on its own within 3 years for 90% of kids.  However, one thing I will say is that you are your own worst critic. I think my man boobs are bigger than they should be too, but my wife just says I am crazy. If you go anywhere where there are guys swimming, chances are you will notice plenty of them that look just like you and don't care a bit and neither do all the people around them. But if it is affecting your self image as much as your post makes it seem, I think your time for waiting is over. They are probably not going to reduce any more than they already have by now, and if you are that upset, you may want to see what options are out there for you, whether that be psychological or surgical. But my own opion on the matter is to just let it be and be you.  People generally don't care as much as you think they do, and you will get along in life a lot better if you can learn to accept yourself (even laugh at yourself) and not take things so seriously.

heck alot of my friends that smoke pot have man boobs (one of the side effects of the drug) and they hate having them, but they aren't giving up the dope to get rid of them. most of them have nice girlfriends too, so it's not that big of a deal, i guess.

there is a simple workout you can do with one of those "wheels"
you can buy at a sporting store. (or make one)
you get on your knees and roll outward with the wheel, then pull back.  some people call it an "ab wheel" but it tightens
your whole chest area too.  my sister was doing it and she
had to stop cause she noticed a reduction in her (small sized)
chest. so maybe it would help tighten you up in that area.
i know it's a long shot, but it might "help" !!!      l.e.

if you can't find one, i'll tell you how to make one.

Listen, women have sooo many complexes, so we can relate, but my point is, if you GF has cellulite, or stretchmarks or is not so skinny are you going to dump her, or are you with her for the more important stuff?  I know it's not easy dealing with our own bodied. Maybe try push ups, not only should it build your chest but also your shoulders, which is really sexy.Good luck.

sorry about the last post, i thought i was responding to someone
else. hahaha   and no, i wasn't high !

jack lelane the famous workout guru loved the wheel.
the ancient greeks even used it.  if you get the wheel (sometimes it's a cheap plastic one. try to get one with berrings in it) you just kneel down and roll outward with the wheel in your hands then pull yourself back. only do a couple
the first time cause it will work you hard, you'll suffer for
a couple days if you over do it !             l.e.

I recently saw one of those plastic surgery shows where they did a surgery on a young man...I think he was about 16...and it really helped him a lot. I know this is drastic, but if you're self-image is really suffering, it might be worth looking into. The show was "Plastic Surgery...Before & After" on the Discovery Health Channel.

I had the same form when I was your age which was in 1968. There wasn't any info on "gyno" but I knew I had something funny going on.  At age 22, I went to an Endocrinologist who told me what the condition was and that I would need surgery.  At that time, insurance would pay but you had to use a general surgeon.  The surgery was okay but the surgeon took out very little tissue, leaving me with a still very bad case of gyno.  I generally kept very lean (didn't help much) and kept my shirt on for everything until I was 45 and decided I couldn't live with the fear of taking my shirt off and being kidded anymore.  I went online and found a plastic surgeon out of Boston who teaches cosmetic surgery at U of Mass, is a competing bodybuilder, and is very familiar with gyno and its correction.  I made the appt., paid the money and had the surgery done.(lipo)  I don't regret it.

I've put two websites below that will tell you about this particular surgeon.  He's a pretty good guy and I'm sure would write back to you about your condition and what options there are. He or a good endocrinologist could tell you if the condition is temporary or not.  Mine, unfortuately wasn't. If you do consider surgery, try to find someone who has experience doing it and look for references from former patient.  The surgeon should also be board certified.

Good luck

hi im a 14 year old going through puberty and i think i have gynecomastia i have all the signs i have lost weight no decrese in size they have hard lumps behind the nipples and i want to know if this will go away? and also with gynecomastia do your nipples normaly get inlarged? plese help

Read the above comment about Dr. Silverman.  I would imagine that you could go to his website and email your question.  If I recall, at puberty, there can be a small knot behind the nipple area and it is not gyno, just normal development.  Best to ask a good doctor, either Dr. Silverman or an endrocrinologist.  Good luck!

I too have the same condition since when I was 15. Now I am 23 and no signs of subsiding. I tried exercising my chest area for some time to no effect. After that I just hoped and prayed for it to go away. Will drugs such as tamoxifen help? Is it over the counter or would I have to go through an endocrinologist?

Yea I am 17 and I have the same problem but I have found three websites which have a treatment for gynecomastia. There is no need for surgery, they are all pills which are taken. I have not bought them since I don't have a credit card and have not told my parents about my problem. Check the sites out and tell me what you think:

You are 18 and that is prime time for testosterone to be so high. It seems as tho some of it is converting into estrogen. You need to go on an estrogen blocker like clomid or amiridex ask your doctor about it and show him your gyno. There is also gyno surgery that can be done and also if you go to ebay you can buy these gyno undershirts which hide the look totally they cost like 35 bucks.

Best thing is to go to a endo or doc and tell them about this issue and how it is affecting your life and mental status. They will and should do a hormone level check especially ask them to check estridiol e2 (estrogen levels)

good luck

you need to test

total testosterone
free testosterone
estradiol
shbg
fsh
lh
prolactin

you cannot treat gyno unless you know the cause

Man boobs are most likely caused by estrogen in food. Your body is storing it in the fat cells. Estrogenic substances are everywhere and cannot be avoided completely. It's in animal feed (to fatten them up) pesticides, dental materials, cosmetics, etc., etc. It's almost impossible to avoid.

I would do a thorough detox, using Natural Cellular Defense by Waiora. It will remove all the toxins/chemicals in your cells. I just completed an eight month detox using it and cannot even describe how much better I feel and look. The only thing is a detox will deplete minerals from your bones. The reason being that toxins are highly acidic and in your body's efforts to buffer the acid, minerals will be taken from your bones. This could result in a lot of problems. Take a good mineral supplement as well as Natural Calm, a magnesium supplement. Drink huge amounts of water. The toxic water is attracted to the NCD so you need to replace it. It traps the toxins and prevents them from being reabsorbed--a hugely important feature of NCD.

Find a doctor who uses electro-dermal screening to determine your dosages throughout the detox. Get your elimination passages working well first: colon, kidney, lymph system. Did I say it was going to be easy? Here's the thing. Don't try to find a "cure" without finding the CAUSE. Natural Cellular Defense will remove the CAUSE. Take enough interest in yourself to be willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES. Believe me, most are not willing and spend their lives suffering as a result.

Check out these links. Yes, I am a Waiora distributor. I became one because I was telling so many about it anyway. I also spent $5,000 having my poisonous mercury fillings removed. That is a long story. Suffice it to say mercury will not show up on any test UNLESS YOU ARE ACTIVELY DETOXING IT. This is not about making money. I make about 5% on every sale. I prefer to have people buy wholesale (it's a multi level) and in effect make even less then. This is about making the world a better place with healthier, happier people in it. Thanks and good luck.
