My dad has stomach cancer will they operate?

My Father was diagnoised with type II diabetes about 3 months ago. The last 6 weeks my dad has not been well not eating or drinking much and being sick after little meals and drinks. He has been eating soft food like soup or porridge but not holding much down. He went into hospital last week as the GP done a blood test and my dad was dyhydrated and showed some damage to his kidneys. At the moment my dads blood pressure is low. He has had a endoscopy and an x-ray and the doctor has confimed my dad as STOMACH CANCER IN THE LOWER PART OF HIS STOMACH. He is going for a CT scan today and a biopsy is being done in order to stage the cancer. My dad also has empheseema which hes had for about 2 years. Can you please tell me whether you think they will operate on my dad. ANd whether you think the cancer has spread. My dad has had such a hard life and he dosent deserve this. I havent slept since they told us and Im really worried about my dad he never crys and he has a few times and hes told me how much he loves me. I dont want him to have all this pain.
