Occasional nauseating pain in prostate

by Deleriad, Oct 20, 2006 12:00AM
This is difficult to describe. Been to two different local doctors who have confirmed no prostate swelling. Basically, once in a while, I get a pain right at the base of the penis which is sort of dull and sickening; not dissimilar to how you feel after a hit in the testicles which makes you want to throw up.

There is no common link to when it occurs: 90% of the time it is after penetrative sexual intercourse or masturbation. Occasionally it is after passing solids or water. Very rarely, it happens in sleep and wakes me up.

Another symptom is that if I have an erection it does not properly go down. Sitting or lying down increases the discomfort. If I stand up and walk around, it soon goes away. There are no after effects. I've ususally forgotten about it within hours.

Probably happens once per month on average and seems to have been going on for 8 years or so. I think once it happens it flares up for a while and then goes away for up to a year.

It's all very puzzling and any suggestions would be appreciated.
