Pain In penis

Recently my boyfriend noticed a vein in his penis that is enlarged and painful. It is about 2 c.m long and on the bottom left side of his penis. It hurts to pee, and when pressure is added to the vein it is painful as well.  We have been to the doctors to get tests done for any STD. If there anything else that could cause this problem .?

I've never heard of this happening in that area before but it could be an inflamed vein. There's a name for this but it's not coming to mind right now. If I think of it I'll get back to you. Can he get in to see the Dr Monday?
